Cut Ribbons

This great new Welsh band are the latest signing to the fine label Kissability, which mostly releases on cassette (remember those?) and was set up by Radio 1’s oracle of new guitar music Jen Long.

This great new Welsh band are the latest signing to the fine label Kissability, which mostly releases on cassette (remember those?) and was set up by Radio 1’s oracle of new guitar music Jen Long. ‘Luna‘ is another super single for the imprint, with a shared male/female lead vocal that’s an unusual treat, and a pulsing stomp that brings to mind acts like Frightened Rabbit and Admiral Fallow.

Cut Ribbons in their own words:

” Hello, thanks for coming to say hi. We’re Cut Ribbons. We’re quite Welsh and we have a lot of time for anyone who’d like to come to a show and drink a beer with us.
We’re from the musical hotspot of Llanelli, and have released two singles to date through Barely Regal and Kissability. We’ve played festivals like Reading and Leeds, Boardmasters, and SWN and supported the likes of The Joy Formidable and Dry The River.
We spend a lot of time on our death bus listening to Deftones and quoting Arrested Development.
We’ve had our track Paper Shields on the Radio 1 Introducing Playlist. You can still download it for free from here. Come hang out with us soon. We promise you’ll have a great time.
Lots of love and hugs xx”
